Today we spent the day in Springfield, Illinois visiting museums and other sites about Abraham Lincoln. The presidential library and museum are just 2 years old and are excellent. I have learned so much about the history of our country that I am almost ready to go back and start teaching it. Well I guess I can wait awhile. The pictures are of me standing with the Lincoln family and Ron talking things over with young Abe. Tonight we are in Alton, Illinois - just across the river from St. Louis. Tomorrow we head for St. Louis, the Gateway Arch and more museums.
